HOW A ONE DAY TRIP CHANGED THE LIFE OF MY CHILD:

It was during a San Francisco gift show that I had dinner with Dr. Chau and his wife, Lily. During the conversation, he mentioned that besides his chiropractic practice, he helps people with allergies as well. I was so excited that I couldn¡¯t wait to get back to Las Angeles and bring my son to him.

After trying almost everything possible, my son who was three years old at the time was highly allergic to all dairy products. Even a tip of a sugar spoon of milk would have made him throw up. I always felt so sorry that at birthday parties all the kids could enjoy pizza and cake and Ryan, my son, had to have food which we brought from home.

When I got back to Las Angeles, I immediately booked a ticket to go up to San Francisco in the morning and come back same afternoon. Ryan was very hesitant to have anyone like a doctor to work on him. Dr. Chau and Lily were so kind to take us to lunch so that Ryan feels more comfortable before going to his office. I could not believe if I had not seen it with my own eyes. After less than one hour of being in his office, without the use of any injections or medication, we were on our way to the airport.

By the order of Dr. Chau, we were supposed to try dairy on Ryan about the same time the next day. In the afternoon of the next day, I made him a piece of toast with butter and jam and had Ryan eat it. I could not believe it that I did not have to use the bowl, which I was holding with the expectation of Ryan throwing up. Since then, he is been eating every thing with dairy including the creamiest ice creams.

I used to be bothered by the fact that I was lactose intolerant, which led me to bloating or diarrhea after having milk. Dear Dr. Chau:

I would like to thank you for treating my allergies to rubber, plastic, latex, cotton and polyester. For years I have been suffering from allergic reactions of these things I get in contact with daily and not knowing the reasons why, until I received testing and treatments from you.

I used to feel my feet were swollen and have difficulty in walking, and I though my shoes were too tight. The discomfort was due to the rubber soles on my shoes. Plastic and latex gave me the same problems as these materials are commonly used in manufacturing household and automotive goods. When it came to shopping for clothing, I often bought new cloths and had to return them because I used to feel uncomfortable and tired when wearing them. The truth was these cloths were made of cotton or polyester. Polyester is also widely used in making carpets, furniture, and bedding sheets. Being allergic to these materials used in making items I get in contact with constantly is no fun at all. As a matter of fact, it was a very miserable experience.

As a child, I could never eat or even touch shrimp or scallops without breaking out in hives. When I went to a Chinese family banquet or out to dim sum, I inevitably could not eat over half of the dishes served.

As I have gotten older, I have not outgrown any of my allergies. In fact, after the pregnancy of my first son, the number of my food allergies has increased. My name is Celia Malheiros; I want to share my experience with Dr. William Chau with you because you might be wondering like I did if this method for getting rid of your allergies really works!

I have been suffering of allergies for over 20 years. My allergist has been prescribing Claritin and Allegra and nose sprays and inhalers. I was doing ok with all that until I decided to stop using all of it. I developed a chronic cough and asthma because I was not using any medication at all. Your allergy treatments have been life changing for both my sons: Kyle ( 5 ) and Dean ( 20 months ). We are forever grateful for curing their numerous food allergies.

Of my two sons, Kyle has had the most serious allergies. Until your treatments, Kyle ate only four foods: raspberries, sweet potatoes, turkey and rice. He was allergic to the most basic of fruits including apples, grapes and oranges. If he ate beef or pork, he would break out in hives. Grains like wheat and oats would have him itching all night long. He could never eat Chinese food because he was allergic to the soy in soy sauce. We only used canola oil because he was allergic to corn and vegetables. He also would itch after going to swimming classes.

In addition to severely limiting his diet, we had also been giving him daily doses of Zyrtec and Clairitin since he was one year old. My Pollen Allergy is Miraculously Cured!

I started to fell allergy in my nose since 1997. Every spring, as soon as the flower started to blossom, I started to suffer. For months, I¡¯d have swollen mouth and swollen cheeks, stuffy nose and headache, and, from time to time, there would be clear liquid dangling at my nose. I felt miserable, and embarrassing in the public.

I saw a lot of doctors for my allergy in the past few years. I took all kinds of western medicines. I also sought for Chinese medicines, such as nose massaging, acupuncturing, eating birds¡¯ nest stew every day, but the effect was little.

I am writing to thank you for how much you have helped me.

I came to see you earlier this year for very severe allergies that were beginning to take over my life. I had been severely allergic to cats and dogs since early childhood, so much so that not only did I have to limit where I went ( I could not tolerate being in locations where animals currently or previously lived ), I couldn¡¦t hug my friends who had animals, and if I attended a social event where strangers had animal dander on their clothes, I would get a severe itchy throat and asthma that would last up to a week from that one encounter.
